Gender Recognition from Audio Signal Using Matlab Project With Source Code Final Year Project Code

 ABSTRACT

             Signal is a physical quantity that varies with respect to the independent variable like time, space, etc. Signal values can be represented in zero’s and one’s. Processing of digital signal by using digital computer is called as Digital Signal Processing. According to Webster’s dictionary, speech is the expression or communication throughout in speakers. Speech is the most important thing to express our thoughts. Speech signal is used to communicate among people. It not only consists of the information but also carries the information regarding the particular speaker. From which the speaker is male or female can be recognized. The meaning of Gender Recognition (GR) is recognizing the gender of the person whether the speaker is male or female. The Information about gender, age, ethnicity, and emotional state are the important ingredients that give rich behavioral information. Such information can be obtained from the speech signal. In this project, an unknown speaker is compared to a database of some known speakers. The best matching system is taken as the recognition decision. From the Recognition decision we conclude whether the given voice sample is generated by a male or female. This project is developed in matlab.

Audio Speech Emotion Recognition Using Matlab Project Code || IEEE Based Projects || Final Year Projects

ABSTRACT

          Emotion Recognition is a recent research topic in the field of Human Computer Interaction Intelligence and mostly used to develop wide range of applications such as stress management for call centre employee, and learning & gaming software, In E-learning field, identifying students emotion timely and making appropriate treatment can enhance the quality of teaching. Main aim of HCI is to achieve a more natural interaction between machine and humans. HCI is an emerging field using which we can improve the interactions between users and computers by making computers more respond able to the user’s needs. Today’s HCI system has been developed to identify who is speaking or what he/she is speaking. If in the HCI system, the computers are given an ability to detect human emotions then they can know how he/she is speaking and can respond accurately and naturally like humans do. In this project methodology for emotion recognition from speech signal is presented. Here, some of acoustic features are extracted from speech signal to analyze the characteristics and behavior of speech. The system is used to recognize the basic emotions. It can serve as a basis for further designing an application for human like interaction with machines through natural language processing and improving the efficiency of emotion. In this format, energy, Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) has been used for feature extraction from the speech signal. Support Vector Machine (SVM) are used for recognition of emotional states. English datasets are used for analysis of emotions with SVM Kernel functions.

Python Code for Audio Steganography For Secret Message Hiding In Audio

                    Steganography is one of the best data hiding technique in the world which can be used to hide data without its presence felt. In today’s digital world most of us communicate via use of electronic media or internet. Most people among us remain unaware about the data loss or data theft which can happen on online transmission of data or message. Valuable information including personal data, messages transmitted through internet is vulnerable to hackers who may steal or decrypt our data or messages. This project is about enhancing the data or message security with use of Audio Steganography to hide the message into audio files. The message hidden by this application is less vulnerable to be stolen than other similar applications. This is due to following reasons: Firstly files are taken to hide high amount of message which enhance information hiding capacity. Secondly before being hidden, the message is broken into parts and shuffled randomly based on permutation generated at runtime so even if the LSB gets encountered the message is still unarranged and meaningless which enhances its security. This application is capable to carry large amount of information with greater security.

Matlab Code for Audio Steganography Using Matlab Project Code - Data Hiding In Audio Using Matlab Project with Source Code

 ABSTRACT

          Information security is one of the most important factors to be considered when secret information has to be communicated between two parties. Cryptography and steganography are the two techniques used for this purpose. Cryptography scrambles the information, but it reveals the existence of the information. Steganography hides the actual existence of the information so that anyone else other than the sender and the recipient cannot recognize the transmission. In steganography the secret information to be communicated is hidden in some other carrier in such a way that the secret information is invisible. In this project an audio steganography technique is proposed to hide audio signal in image in the transform domain using wavelet transform. The audio signal in any format wav is encrypted and carried by the image without revealing the existence to anybody. When the secret information is hidden in the carrier the result is the stegno signal. In this work, the results show good quality stegno signal and the stegno signal is analyzed for different attacks. It is found that the technique is robust and it can withstand the attacks. The quality of the stegno signal is measured by Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error. The quality of extracted secret audio signal is measured by Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). The results show good values for these metrics.

Audio Steganography Using Matlab Project Source Code

ABSTRACT
            Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the sender and intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message, a form of security through obscurity. Steganography works by replacing bits of useless or unused data in regular computer files (such as graphics, sound, text, HTML, or even floppy disks ) with bits of different, invisible information. This hidden information can be plain text, cipher text, or even images. The rapid development of multimedia and internet allows for wide distribution of digital media data. It becomes much easier to edit, modify and duplicate digital information. Besides that, digital documents are also easy to copy and distribute, therefore it will be faced by many threats. It is a big security and privacy issue, it become necessary to find appropriate rotation because of the significance, accuracy and sensitivity of the information. Steganography and Cryptography are considered as one of the techniques which are used to protect the important information, but both techniques have their pro’s and con’s. In this proposed system of audio steganography we have implemented a new scheme based on mel frequency components. The mel frequency cepstrum coefficients are used for finding the unique feature audio data in audio file. The returned features provide us with highly robust and high end features with low invariance. We have used this property of MFCC in order to detect high bandwidth free space location in the sound data and have embedded the encrypted watermark image data into these MFCC components. The proposed scheme works to increase the PSNR values and reduce the error rate of hiding the data in the image and thus improves the sound quality and makes it look original.

Audio Compression Using Matlab Project with Source Code

ABSTRACT
             Speech compression is the technique of converting human speech into an efficiently encoded format that can later be decoded to produce a close approximation of the original signal. The merits of the compression technique are reduction in storage space, bandwidth, transmission power and energy. An efficient algorithm Discrete Wavelet Transform is employed for decomposition of original signal into wavelets coefficients at different scales and positions and these coefficients are truncated to perform encoding and decoding. The compression technique used in this project is better than other earlier coding techniques like μ-law coding, code excited linear predictive coding. Speech compression plays a prominent role in speech signal processing such as satellite communications, internet communications, transmission of biomedical signals and other applications. Wavelet is one of the recent developments to overcome the limitations of Fourier transform of signal analysis which has the special ability to examine signal simultaneously in both time and frequency.

Audio Noise Reduction Using Matlab Project with Source Code

ABSTRACT
                Audio noise reduction system is the system that is used to remove the noise from the audio signals. Audio noise reduction systems can be divided into two basic approaches. The first approach is the complementary type which involves compressing the audio signal in some well-defined manner before it is recorded (primarily on tape). The second approach is the single-ended or non-complementary type which utilizes techniques to reduce the noise level already present in the source material in essence a playback only noise reduction system. Noise reduction is the process of removing noise from a signal.Digital filters effectively reduce the unwanted higher or lower order frequency components in a speech signal. In this paper the speech enhancement is performed using different digital filters .In this real noisy environment is taken into consideration in the form of Gaussian noise. The Time domain as well as frequency domain representation of the signal spectra is performed using Fast Fourier transformation technique. MATLAB in built functions are used to carry out the simulation. Gaussian type noise is added using in-built function randn () and keyboard noise is added as a second speech file to the original speech signal. The filters remove the lower frequency components of noise and recover the original speech signal. It is also observed that keyboard noise is typical to remove as compared to Gaussian type but these filters performed well to get sharper spectra of original speech signal. Speech signal analysis is one of the important areas of research in multimedia applications. Discrete Wavelet technique is effectively reduces the unwanted higher or lower order frequency components in a speech signal. Wavelet-based algorithm for audio de-noising is worked out. We focused on audio signals corrupted with white Gaussian noise which is especially hard to remove because it is located in all frequencies.

Matlab Code for Video Steganography Hiding Image in Video Source Code Final Year Project

ABSTRACT
          Steganography has become great area of interest for researchers as need for secure transaction of information is increasing day by day. Information may be text, image, audio or video. Steganography is a technique in which required information is hided in any other information such that the second information does not change significantly and it appears the same as original. This paper presents a novel approach of hiding image in a video. The proposed algorithm is replacing one LSB of each pixel in video frames. It becomes very difficult for intruder to guess that an image is hidden in the video as individual frames are very difficult to analyze in a video running at 30 frames per second. The process of analysis has been made more difficult by hiding each row of image pixels in multiple frames of the video, so intruder cannot even try to unhide image until he get full video.

Message is shuffled in random sequence before being hidden. Random sequence which is generated based on certain factors is used to shuffle the message before hiding it. This further enhances the data security.

ABSTRACT
           Currently over the millions of digital audio files such as digital songs are copied illegally during file-sharing over the networks. It has resulted as the loss of revenue for music and broadcasting industries. The traditional protection schemes are no longer useful to protect copyright and ownership of multimedia objects. These challenges have prompted significant research in digital audio watermarking for protection and authentication. Watermarking is a technique, which is used in protecting digital information like text, images, videos and audio as it provides copyrights and ownership. The identity of the owner of the audio file can be hidden in the audio file which is called Watermark. Therefore, digital audio watermarking is the process of hiding some information into the audio file in such a way that the quality and the audibility of the audio is not affected. It helps to prevent forgery and impersonation of audio signal. Audio watermarking is more challenging than image watermarking due to the dynamic supremacy of hearing capacity over the visual field. This paper presents a novel audio watermarking using wavelet transformation. The proposed method involves Embedding and extraction of audio signal using wavelet transformation. The audio signal which is in .Wave or Mp3 format undergoes segmentation, transformation and embedding the watermarked data and at the last inverse transformation will be carried out. We attempt to develop an efficient method for hiding the information in the audio file such that the copyright information will be protected from illegal copying of the information

Audio steganography is the scheme of hiding the existence of secret information by concealing it into another medium such as audio file. The steganography application hides different types of data within a cover file. The resulting stego also contains hidden information, although it is virtually identical to the cover file.

The effect of MFCC is positive as the watermark extracted from this proposed scheme shows high correlation to the original watermark and also the resistance towards various attacks has also been improved, the attacks degrade the watermark due to high payload or bigger watermark size, the probability of extraction of watermark or steganograph data becomes higher.
